Responsibilities
A day in the life:
- Offer compassionate emotional support to families, fostering a sense of value, understanding, and reassurance throughout their journey.
- Respond to inquiries and guide families in accessing available resources, helping them gain clarity and confidence in their care plans.
- Work closely with clinical and operational teams to champion the needs and preferences of families.
- Act as a communication bridge between families and internal departments, ensuring a coordinated and consistent approach to care.
- Recognize and address any concerns or obstacles affecting family satisfaction, escalating issues when necessary.
- Assist families in understanding the ABA process by providing clear explanations and accessible educational materials.
- Link families to external resources and community support services to enhance their overall experience.
- Keep detailed records of family interactions and ensure follow-ups are conducted promptly.
- Monitor family satisfaction levels and work collaboratively on strategies to enhance their overall experience.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Psychology, or related field.
- Background in family advocacy, social work, counseling, customer service, or related fields.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Skilled at building trust and fostering strong, lasting relationships with families.
- Demonstrates empathy, patience, and a sincere dedication to supporting others.
- Possesses a proactive problem-solving approach and remains composed in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of ABA therapy and autism spectrum disorders is an advantage.
- Awareness of the unique challenges families encounter throughout the therapeutic journey.
- Capable of working autonomously while effectively collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus but not required.
