We’re seeking an experienced an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Analyst for a public, not-for-profit managed care health plan. This position is fully remote.
Schedule/Shift: M-F 8am-5pm PST (Full Time only)

Position Overview:
The Applied Behavior Analysis Analyst, Behavioral Health is responsible for the daily operation of Behavioral Health Treatment (BHT) services program, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), under the Early and Periodic Screening Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) program. The ABA analyst will review assessments and treatment plans submitted by ABA providers for adherence to BHT "best practice" guidelines and medical necessity criteria. The ABA Analyst will collaborate with other internal AAH departments to ensure regulatory compliance. The position will interact with delegates contracted organizations and providers, health networks, and other stakeholders in a manner that promotes collaborative working relationships.
Principal responsibilities include:
- Serve as subject matter expert in BHT/ABA and behavioral health and clinical programs in support of the Triple Aim of improving patient experience of care, health outcomes, and reducing overall cost.
- Overseeing daily work of BHT/ABA Services and leading and participating in internal and external committees and meetings.
- Maintains clinical expertise and knowledge of best practices for all relevant clinical areas of BHT/ABA and behavioral health including statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Reviews initial FBA/ABA assessments and treatment plans submitted by ABA providers for adherence to BHT/ABA best practice guidelines and medical necessity criteria.
- Reviews Diagnostic Evaluations/assessments submitted by licensed psychologist to confirm recommendations for ABA.BHT services.
- In collaboration with BH team/Project team, develops training protocols and workflows for the day-to-day operations of ABA Navigators.
- Works closely with licensed and unlicensed staff to co-manage the care of complex cases and telephone contact with members, caretakers, healthcare professionals and others involved in the member’s care, when needed.
3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications
- Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) or BCBA-D is required
- 3 years of experience providing BHT/ABA therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Familiarity with HMO, IPA, and medical group contracting concepts, principles, and practices.
- Experience in use of various computer system software including pharmacy programs, as well as Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
