Position Overview:
MVP Consulting Group is looking for highly skilled Behavioral Health Compliance Consultants to join our expanding team. As a 1099 consultant, you will work with our clients across various sectors of behavioral health, offering your expertise to drive compliance excellence and support the successful achievement of regulatory goals. Your work will have a direct impact on the future success of our clients' programs and their ability to provide critical behavioral health services to individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Consulting: Work alongside a dynamic team of consultants to deliver strategic, client-focused solutions that improve compliance outcomes across various behavioral health settings.
- Regulatory Guidance: Provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements, including CARF, The Joint Commission, and state-specific standards, ensuring that clients are well-prepared for audits and inspections.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Create, update, and audit compliance documentation, ensuring policies and procedures align with the latest regulations and industry best practices.
- Training & Education: Lead training sessions for client leadership and staff on new and updated compliance requirements to foster a culture of sustainability and continuous improvement.
- Site Audits & Surveys: Conduct site assessments, including accreditation and licensing surveys, to identify areas of compliance and assist clients in preparing for successful audits.
- Strategic Consultation: Provide in-depth analyses and actionable recommendations for compliance improvements, working closely with client teams to implement changes that will result in lasting success.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage project timelines, ensuring the successful and timely completion of consulting engagements while maintaining high standards of client service.
- Stay Current: Engage in continuous research to stay ahead of regulatory changes and industry trends, applying that knowledge to client projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree (preferred) in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Public Health, or a related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, specifically within behavioral health settings.
- Proven expertise in CARF, Joint Commission, and state licensing processes.
- Demonstrated leadership in compliance, with experience conducting audits, surveys, and program assessments.
Skills:
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other business tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on professionalism and high-quality service delivery.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Additional Requirements:
- Expertise in behavioral health compliance is essential.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for client site visits (travel expenses are covered).
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a remote, contract-based environment.
